What Do You Call A Witch?

So many names are given to those with #psychic or extra sensory ability: spiritualist, medium, #seer , crystal gazer, clairvoyant, soothsayer, augur, #oracle , prophet, sibyl, astrologer, stargazer, palmist, palm-reader, chiromancer, tea-leaf reader, tarot reader, phrenologist, Cassandra, mind-reader. Titles and labels help people seek us out for specific services. However, many witches have a broad range of skills or special abilities. Not all of them are the typical talents in movies or tv, but I believe them to be magical. Herbalists and healers know vast amounts of information that challenges modern medicine. #reiki and faith healers give people relief from emotional and physical pain. Some witches are therapists, parents, caretakers , and nurses. These abilities are needed in the world. I bring this up because you might laugh at “the nerd” - or the witch with their nose in a book, but they can teach you a thing or two that you won’t find in a book.

Yes, it’s edgy at times and exciting to be a witch- but it’s also learning and practice based.

Trial and error. So stop treating it like a fad or a badge that suddenly makes you cool. Remember the burning times. Remember most alternative practices of faith and spirituality were condemnable by death... we should appreciate our freedoms. Praise our abilities. Respect our challenges. Support our community and all of our differences.
