Five Things to Know Before Getting a Reading

Looking for some intuitive guidance?

I have been a practicing witch, occult researcher, and spiritualist for over a decade, and I wanted to share some insights as to finding the right psychic, medium, or healer.

  • Be as selective as you want in your approach.

  • Meaning, don’t just go after the first link you find through a search on the internet! Some of the best psychics and mediums you will find from friend referrals, word of mouth, or even by what people share on social media. Just because someone was on TV for being a psychic or medium, it doesn’t mean they’re gifted.. They might just have a good agent!

  • Check for Reviews and Visit their website or socials!

  • A reader or psychic who takes their job seriously will have current and updated information, as well as customer reviews or links to share with their potential clients. You also might see other services or facets of what they do within their field. Many psychics and intuitive are skilled at a number of things, but be cautious of the ones who claim to “know everything” or can “do and fix everything”.

  • Take time to really search your heart, and acknowledge which reader or psychic you feel pulled to.

  • Yes, this sounds like an ‘intuitive’ thing, because it is! You will usually know for yourself and in your gut if someone seems like the right fit to offer you help or clarity on a situation. An example for myself is that I offer intuitive guidance, but my primary focus is emotional well being and spiritual healing. I do not claim to know lottery numbers, or when you will die. That’s just silly, and you should avoid these types of proclamations.

  • Be open minded, but do not give any information or leads!

  • I cannot stress this enough. A REAL psychic isn’t going to ask you all the personal details of your situation, your job, or what is bothering you. They should also never be fishing or trying to cold read you. If you don’t know what this means I suggest you google it. It’s an old mentalism trick, and it is associated with charlatans. Any REAL intuitive guide should be showing you how to open yourself up to have your reading, and lead you through it.

  • Take notes, ask questions, and be prepared to pay.

  • A good reader or psychic will allow you to write notes, or even record (sometimes), but don’t assume, always ask! You will also find varying prices throughout the spiritual community pertaining to readings and healings. If something feels bogus or seems bogus, then don’t book a session and look elsewhere. Make sure you also understand how their booking and scheduling works, so you don’t make a minor mistake that could cost you money or grief.

Some final notes:

Nothing is free!

There will always be an exchange of some kind involved in this psychic transaction.

Do not lie to yourself and think that this type of service should be free… That’s not fair to YOU, and it’s definitely not fair to the real psychics, mediums, and healers who have been practicing and doing this type of work.

Blessings to you,

Zachariah The Witch
