Focus On Your Growth
On July 3rd of this year I realized something…
Over four years ago I made a lot of big changes.
I gave up alcohol.
I stopped partaking in ‘partying’.
I quit condoning it.
I walked away from toxic people, and worked on my own behaviors as well.
Which mostly included partying, and a few other things tied into that..
Got a therapist.
Got a different therapist.
Dug my heels back into writing, journaling, and short stories.
I stepped back into my craft, and truly started sweeping out my broom closet , and embracing ALL of my talents and abilities.
I gave myself a fresh start.
I allowed myself to be vulnerable to new people and new situations.
Took opportunities and set up a table in a bar, or a rooftop party somewhere.
Or sit at a park with my sign for “psychic readings & advice.”
I truly felt the calling to quit pretending.
To quit keeping the veil closed.
I still don’t know what the hell I’m doing most of the time.
Yet, after all the clients, events, and amazing things I’ve been a part of- I know I’m walking the path I was called for.
My life and my spiritual practice are not a costume, or some type of aesthetic for social media.
My work has been a culmination of several mental , physical, and emotional journeys through ritual, meditation, and the help of powerful plant medicines.
There are many things that I have experienced or done, that I do not publicly share.
sometimes the potency of our magic is more powerful when we do not reveal all of its secrets and inner workings. However, I can say that with consistent effort, and consistent accountability to your own growth; you WILL see transformation.
You WILL evolve.
I am so grateful to uphold the mantle and title of being a witch.
A healer.
A guide.
I have been called many names, and I’m sure I will be called many more; good or bad.
And that is none of my business.
I encourage you to reflect on your growth and who you were in the last decade.
Are you better?
Are you more self aware?
Are you happy?
Once I realized how important it is to feel loved, to feel safe, and to feel appreciated and respected.
My entire world changed.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT HELPED ME GET BETTER:
Have more clarity of body, mind, and spirit.
Drink more water
Exercise
Go on medication if necessary, and have a therapist.
Forgive yourself, and forget the rest.
I hope that you find peace, and the tools that you need, and please…
try not to be a piece of shit.
